Fast-forward to the bustling tasting room of Callaway Vineyard and Winery, with a sweeping view over the valley, and you'll see what all the excitement is about! Temecula is producing some outstanding wines these days, and is an easy hour's drive from Redlands, Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside or San Diego. It's the "happening" thing to do on a weekend, with good food, live entertainment, and some great vinos.

Temecula is an excellent wine-producing region, with vast array of wines to choose from. On past visits and in my tasting panels, I have tasted the following wines; sparkling wine, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Cortese (a delicious white Italian varietal), Johannisberg Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Noir, Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Bordeaux style red blends, Super Tuscan style red blends and a couple of Ports, all grown and produced in Temecula. Whew!
