Position:
 Wine Club VIP Bar Wine Server

Location: Callaway Vineyard & Winery
Reports to: Wine Club Manager

This part time position requires availability on all weekends and holidays with additional hours as needed by the winery on weekdays or evenings.  You must be 21 years or older to be hired for this position.  An hourly rate plus incentives are offered.

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge, experience, skill-set and grace to handle all wine club-related affairs in a positive, professional, customer-focused manner providing exceptional customer service for existing and future wine club members.

This position requires working weekends and holidays at our exclusive wine club tasting bar serving wine to club members and their guests as well as assisting them with wine purchases and all other membership inquiries. 

Wine club Servers are responsible for all aspects of welcoming, entertaining and serving wine club members and their guests during their visit to the winery.  This includes conducting wine tastings, providing product information, promoting sales, assisting members and their guests with purchases and resolving any product or service problems. Servers must be able to convey information accurately, pay attention to detail, have good listening and communication skills and work well with others.

This position also requires standing for long periods of time, lifting and daily maintenance of the wine club tasting bar which includes cleaning, stocking, washing glassware, wiping down tables, organizing supplies and keeping track of wine inventory.
 
Work Schedule:
2 days a week, Saturday and Sunday. Approximately 7-8 hours per day plus any additional hours required.

Requirements:
· Two years experience in hospitality or customer service related fields, retail sales, cashiering and knowledge of the wine industry preferred.   
· Must possess a high level of integrity and be able to execute cashiering, cash and inventory handling in an honest manner.
· Must be respectful of customers and co-workers and be able to communicate calmly and clearly in a professional manner.
· Must be able to explain products, services and special offers accurately.      
· Must be dedicated to the job; able to follow instructions and all company policies, be timely, reliable, motivated, productive, self sufficient and organized.
· Wine knowledge is not required but you must have a genuine interest and desire to learn about wine and the wine industry at work and on your own.  
· Must be able to work under pressure, multi-task, meet sales expectations and maintain a positive attitude.     
· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.

EVENT COORDINATOR
 
Event Coordinators at Callaway Winery assist the Event Manager with weddings, corporate events, private dinners and luncheons, providing tours, private wine tastings, and selling wine with a high level of customer service that reflects the Callaway Event Department expectation of quality and memorable hospitality. 

Daily Expectations:
• Assist the Events Manager with on-site events which include but not limited to: creating and distributing timelines in a timely manner, establish relationships and work with outside Event Coordinators & Vendors, arrange with Support Staff all duties for preparation of events, supervise bar during events, supervise set up, breakdown and cleanup of property and all Vendors.
• Must implement day of procedures for weddings, tours, tastings and lunches and dinner, corporate events and CVW wine club parties.
• Must be able to cover phone calls and emails for either the Event Manager
• Oversee & organize files for events to ensure that client provides all necessary information. 
• Maintain designated Event Department areas, inventory, and supplies.
• Responsible for hosting, executing and selling wine at Tours, Tastings & Lunches or Dinners for large groups.
• Initiate ideas which improve efficiency, cleanliness, and hospitality at CVW.

Qualified candidates will have:
• Minimum 2 years directly-related experience in the hospitality/events field. (Catering experience ideal.)
• Must be 21-years or older.
• Must be able to carry minimum of 1 case of wine. (40 pounds)
• Must have knowledge of Outlook, Publisher, Word and Excel.
• Must demonstrate professionalism in regards to appearance and dress. 
• To be a positive ambassador for Callaway Winery at all times.
• Must be able to work full weekends, holidays and extra hours. 
• Wine Knowledge at plus.
• Must learn all aspects of giving a comprehensive tour and wine tasting.
