Event/Catering Sales & Marketing Manager
 
Event/Catering Sales
Selling banquet, wedding, and event spaces.
Planning a variety of the Winery's social events, including weddings, fundraisers, birthdays, and other special programs.
Coordinate and execute weddings/events.
Communicate and confirm details with customers
Preparation of BEO’s (banquet event orders) 
Follow up with customers post-event
Maintain accurate detailed and orderly files of upcoming and previous events
Schedule staff for events and off site marketing opportunities
 
Marketing
Design and creation of print ready marketing materials for winery and restaurant including in flyers and advertisements
Actively participate in industry and local community related organizations to develop business, such as the Temecula Chamber, Visit Temecula and the Temecula Winegrowers Association
Research and plan for local event participations and work as Ambassador for the Winery
Coordinate off site tastings and donations
Conduct onsite and offsite presentations to prospective customers
Post on Social Media sites
Set budget for advertising and marketing 
 
Requirements:
Min 2 + years of catering sales experience in similar sized operation or equivalent
Min 2 + years of wedding and social catering experience
Min 2 + years marketing experience
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays based on business needs
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  
Ideal candidate:
Proven track record of developing long-term client relationships and with coworkers
Solid knowledge of sales principles, techniques, industry practices, and prospecting activities common to the hospitality industry
Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals by effectively negotiating and closing business
Ability to identify, and target new accounts
Sell concepts and ideas to customers, management and peers
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Knowledge of cost control measures (i.e. labor, food and beverage, and materials) involved with events and meetings
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and computer
Ability to create and deliver professional, quality presentations in front of groups
Effective time management and organization skills
 
Physical requirements:
Regularly required to walk, sit, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
