Position: Wine Club Coordinator
Location: Callaway Vineyard & Winery
Reports to:  Director of Sales & Marketing

This position requires availability on weekends and holidays with additional hours as needed by the winery on weekdays or evenings.  You must be 21 years or older to be hired for this position.

Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Tasting Room/Wine Club Manager with all activities associated with the Wine Club department and handling the day-to-day customer service, order processing and database management for our well-established Wine Club.

As the initial contact for member inquiries, reorders and shipment-related issues the ideal candidate will possess the knowledge, experience, skill-set and grace to handle all club-related affairs in a positive, professional, customer-focused manner providing exceptional customer service for existing and future Wine Club members.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data Entry- accurately maintains member account information, changes and club orders into the database program and point-of-sale systems.
  • Customer Service- answers phones and emails, responds to member inquiries and issues, proactively contacts members when updated information is needed.
  • Shipping/Logistics- process club orders, shipping claims, track packages, coordinate returned packages and reships.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and promotes the Wine Club Program by phone and in person.
  • In-bound telephone sales, e-commerce order reviewing and processing, invoice preparation and verifications.
  • Assists with the packaging of bi-monthly wine shipments.
  • Must also be available after hours and weekends to assist with Wine Club events.

Work Schedule:

  • 5 days a week. Approximately 37 hours per week plus any additional hours required.

Requirements:

  • Two years experience in hospitality or customer service-related fields and knowledge of wine industry preferred.
  • Experienced in administrative office skills. Must be able to retain information quickly.
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet proficient and be able to type 40 wpm with accuracy.
  • Must be positive, creative, professional, personable, work and communicate well with team members.
  • Must have excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Must be self sufficient, highly organized and be able to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45lbs.

Position:  Tasting Room Barback
Location:  Callaway Vineyard & Winery
Reports to:  Director of Sales and Marketing

 Job Summary:

The primary function of the Barback position is to work with the Tasting Room team to complete the day to day operations of the Tasting Room. Overall responsibilities to assist Tasting Room Servers and management to set up and break down bars, including cleaning, stocking, and facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Stock wines, glassware, ice, wine club membership applications, and collect, wash, polish glasses and distribute to the various tasting bars on property.
  • Clean bar, counters, shelves, and furniture.
  • Assist team in bussing bars, tables, courtyard and general cleaning of various areas in and outside of the winery.
  • Stock wine, as needed.
  • Participate in opening and closing duties, following standards of procedure document provided by Tasting Room management.
  • Ensures all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
  • Be hospitable, welcoming, and exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist when necessary.

Education/Experience/Abilities

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant Barback experience in a winery, restaurant or quick food outlet.
  • Possess a service-oriented mentality, with desire to provide an exceptional experience to the guest and co-workers.
  • Detail-oriented and a mantra to expect the best in yourself and others.
  • Able to work under pressure, set priorities and accomplish a wide variety of tasks.
  • Enthusiastic team player outlook and “can do” mindset.
  • Able to stand on your feet for majority of the day.
  • Able to lift and routinely carry items of up to 40 lbs.

  • Able to stand long hours and must be able to function under pressure.

Maintenance Tech
Full Time

Job Description:
Maintains company property including offices, tasting room, production area and all public areas. Create and perform preventative maintenance program to ensure that repairs are completed in a timely manner. Help with the installation of building equipment and repairs throughout the facility. Perform repairs including but not limited to plumbing, painting electrical and carpentry. Inspect building and grounds for unsafe conditions, or conditions that need attention and make corrections. Prior maintenance or handyman experience desired. Driver’s license with a clean driving record required. Own tools a plus but not necessary.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs in public areas and kitchens including minor electrical, roofing, plumbing, HVAC etc.
  • Report major repair needs to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Monitor and maintain all maintenance spaces in a safe, clean, organized, and energy efficient manner.
  • Handle and store hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor compliance of building safety codes, health and safety laws and other regulations; conduct walk-throughs to assess the safety and efficiency of equipment and maintenance of the property.
  • Effectively collaborate with other departments for necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
  • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to guest and associate requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by Leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a minimum of (2) years of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Must have mechanical ability with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, machine servicing and repairs.
  • Must be pro-active and persistent in pursuing and completing tasks thoroughly.
  • Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
