WAREHOUSE WORKER

Summary:

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for incoming and outgoing packages for all departments at the Winery. This includes the physical inventory, cycle count and movement of all wine cases, within the facilities as directed by Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all company standards, values and standard operating procedures are followed at all times.
  • Receive, check and report damages and accuracy of each incoming delivery.
  • Disperse all incoming deliveries to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with Wine Club pack outs, Online Store, Tasting Room daily shipping orders.
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments are packed and shipped out with accuracy.
  • Assist Warehouse Staff with returned shipments.
  • Assist with Housekeeping, clean bathrooms and courtyard when needed.
  • Fulfill weekly wine transfers to Tasing Room and restaurant.
  • Cleanliness and organization of the Warehouse.
  • Pallet movement using a forklift, and manual pallet jack.
  • Understand and adhere to environmental and sustainable standards set by the wineries.
  • Assist with bottling when needed.
  • Bale cardboard, when baler is full tie bales and empty.
  • Perform all other duties as necessary and assigned by Warehouse Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exhibit integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Must have the ability to be consistently striving to be better.
  • Must be able communicate effectively with all departments.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able drive a forklift or learn and a manual pallet jack.
  • Must be able to lift wine cases (50lbs) on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to drive a flatbed truck and other vehicles as necessary for wine movements.
  • Ability to work both outdoor and indoor in a climate-controlled warehouse.
  • Processing shipping orders through UPS very helpful.

Line Cook
Meritage at Callaway
Job Description

Meritage at Callaway is seeking an energetic, highly motivated Line Cook; this significant component in the operations of our kitchen will be committed to providing impeccable presentation using a complete range of cooking methods while preparing meals to Meritage at Callaway’s standards. Efficient, courteous, service driven, and detail oriented are also a must for this position. Excellent communication and interaction with the team is essential. Future team members must be able to work weekends and holidays. Additional hours may be required as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food    items in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to restaurants standardized recipes.
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
  • Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Properly store, rotate and manage all products.
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Carry out duties assigned by the Executive Chef & Sous Chef.

Dishwasher
Meritage at Callaway
Job Description

Meritage at Callaway is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, reliable Dishwasher, you will be committed to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Efficient, courteous, service driven, and detail oriented are also a must for this position. Future team members must be able to work weekends and holidays. Additional hours may be required as needed.

Purpose/ Summary:

  • Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, plate ware and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.
  • Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Scrape and pre-rinse food from dirty dishes and places them in dish washing machine.
  • Ensure dish area is clean and organized.
  • Washes pots, pans and trays (all dishware) by hand and/or machine.
  • Assist at prep station as necessary.
  • Remove trash to external dumpster area.
  • Ensure all trash cans and trash receptacles are clean.
  • Wash work area tables, prep areas, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors.

HOUSEKEEPING ASSOCIATE – PART TIME

POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for the day to day tasks associated with the housekeeping, maintenance, and cleanup of the facilities at Callaway Winery and Meritage at Callaway Restaurant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. Nothing in this job description reflects management’s right to assign or reassign duties to this job at any time. All duties are to be performed in compliance with Callaway Vineyards & Winery policies and procedures:

  1. Assist facilities staff/management with day to day on site cleanup to include trash movement, cardboard bundling, moving chairs.
  2. Cleans and removes litter from common areas and entry ways to the property.
  3. Monitors restrooms for stock and cleanliness.
  4. Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of the property to ensure facility cleanliness.
  5. Maintain all bathrooms by cleaning as needed and wipe down public surfaces with alcohol.
  6. Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
  7. Records all data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and maintenance needs for use by supervisory staff.
  8. Reports any problem areas to Facilities Manager or the Tasting room Manager.
  9. Notifies supervisor of any needed supplies or equipment.
  10. Maintains appearance of supply room.
  11. Maintains floors by sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing and polishing as needed.
  12. Maintains appearance of rooms/buildings by dusting furniture and washing walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, mirrors, door panels and sills.
  13. Empties wastebaskets in common areas, offices and transports trash and recyclables to disposal area.
  14. All other duties as assigned.

This is a highly physical position which requires strength, endurance, and the ability to be standing, kneeling, reaching continuously throughout each and every work day.
